Battery?

My car is suddenly not wanting to crank over, it happened first in a garage, thinking it was the starter motor stuck i put it in gear and rolled the car backwards and nothing happened. I waited a few mins and then it decided to crank and start so its pretty obvious its the battery, this has happened 3 more times over the week end. The battery is the same age as the car (2002) i thaught these had a 10 year life, i dont use the heaters or lights wen the ignition is off so im guessing the battery cant hold its charge. Anyway of testing this to see if it just needs charged or replaced?

Check the TDC sensor and the leads to the starter.

Battery life isn't 10 year depends on useage.

Hi Edd, I have I problem starting today, do you know any pictures or advise for the location on the sensor ? I have no idea where to begin looking

my battery went on my 2002 1.2 16v 3 days ago!

£60 for some fancy Calcium thing from halfords and all is good again lol couldnt beleive the difference it made to my tunes actually lol kicks out much more bass now and goes much louder before it starts to distort (no more taking the piss out my £400 amp thinking i got ripped off!! lol)
