182 replica

I'm sorry. I just never understood why you'd want a car to look like something it's no and never will be.

Exercise in futility if you ask me.

Imagine your 17 and just passed your test. Can't afford insurance on a 182 but can on a 1.2....

looks like a nice car, for someone planning to do a rep would save them a lot of money in the long run

Looks good but needs lowered a little. Nothing wrong with making it look like a 182 if you ask me. Not everyone can afford a real one and if your young the insurance will be through the roof. Can you imagine a 17 year old saving up for a few years? They want things yeserday!

Personally think reps are fine as long as you don't have 2.0 badges.

As said, people forget about insurance, and what young petrol head wants to save for a 182 for a few years?! That would feel like a lifetime.

looking nice, like it alot, but isnt that amount quite alot? presumin it doesnt have the 182 interior?

Good point. Leave the 2.0 badges OFF! Im after 172 bumpers myself. Not because I want mine to look like a 172 but because I think the car car looks much better with them :approve:

if all mods declared, would increase insurance a lot - maybe £3-400 pa or even uninsurable

I only pay £350, BUT I pay £60 extra p.a. and have had 250 put on my excess for wheels and lowered sus only

Re-map not declared - another £100 advised when i asked

wow ive seen that about and never realised it was a 1.2

im sure iv posted a spotted thread about it before.

^^^ thats what i think, i know insurance is the deal here (im only 20teen myself) but you can get a nice ff or cup for that!!!

jamie

Seen that one before.

Yup insurance seems ot be a deciding factor for most....

It worked out ok for me at the start, 1.2 with a few mods.
NOW its cheaper for me to insure a 172/182 then it is a 1.2 with mods.

Time to move on then ;)

Putting the RENAULT sport badge on the back is the final insult..

Fog lights on aswell.. suprised ? no..

For it to be spot on it would need the original wheels and an original exhaust as the modded one on that is a little too big to be a standard one.

Good revamp though. Although I still wouldn't have it.
All these fakes pffft, nothing like the real thing tbh ;)

Looks great. Is it me or is the spoiler not a Cup one?

It's just a shame it doesn't have the performance - it'll be wasted by chavs at the lights who'll think they've handed a 182 its arse :(
