What power can I expect from a de-cat 172

Im about to go and get my decat fitted and just wondered if it will make a difference at all! Any know?

i can only speak from personal experience , but then i am only used to doing 100bhp+ jumps at a time

When i fitted one (albeit with a supersprint race system) to my old phase 2 172 it made the car freer revving and a better drive and the 5k kick was less noticeable. However most phase 1's ran a twin cat set up and were more freer flowing than the single cat on the mk2s so you may notice less difference.

Well guys its fitted and I can honestly say that it was a royal pain in the a55, but it was worth it imo it pull stronger through the rev range and it sounds excellent. Will be getting it on the rolling road again to see if it made any difference.

1-2Bhp mayb...Does rev free'r but don't expect big gains.
