The phase 1isation continues

As well as fitting my phase 1 airbox this week, I have also replaced the gear stick unit with this little item:




It's so much nicer to use, even if it is a little cold on a morning.

Have a look at your Maxogen Ali then at a phase 1 air box, see any similarities? Plus, the surface are of a phase 1 filter is 2.8x larger than that of a phase 2.

The power delivery seems a lot more linear without as many flat spots. It's difficult to attribute any performance gain solely to the air filter due to the amount of remedial work I carried out but I would say that it makes a nice addition and is effectively a poor mans (or thrifts' ) Maxogen.

phs1 air box's are the way forward.. belive it or not out of all the panel filters i used (Itg, Piper X etc) the K&N was the best

top gear top tip. is to remove the feed with the rivets on and run a hose to it
