Whats lower a Clio trophy, or a standard Mk2 172?

I pretty sure the front end of a trophy was a further 10mm lower than a cup set up.....

Is yours the trophy with the lowering springs? ;)

Yeah, mines 10mm lower front and back than a std Trophy thanks to a set of custom motorsports springs from Mark Fish. I've also had the Sach dampers un-pinned and can now adjust them for track use.

ooooohh posh. I really like the trophy, but the rear especially looks too high. I will be replacing the cup this year as milage just clicked over to 70k..... a subtle 10-20mm drop would be ideal imo :approve:

Here you go .... only a small 10mm drop front and rear, a slightly stiffer set-up with reduced body roll (on std damper settings).

How come? 70K isn't that much, is it:S

Looks perfect :approve: My next car i *think* i want to leave messing around with the suspension too much. I'm on H&R's, and whilst its a good ride on A/B roads, it can get rough around town. So thinking a trophy would be a good replacement ;)

I'm in the same boat gaz, my 172 is now on 68K and i have been thinking about a swapping her for a clio trophy.

Its only a thought, i'd like a black gold 182, but the trophy is seen as the ultimate etc, abit like the cup used to be handling wise etc ;) Its more special :)

So how much better does the trophy handle compared to a 172 on H&R's set up properly?

I wouldnt have said a great deal if being honest..... H&R's are perfect for road imo, very very good set up. I Reckon the trophy will be more at home being raped down a b road with its hydrolic progressive bumpstops etc

^But your cup looks beta...

Wasn't done for looks and while slammed cars might look good they just don't handle / drive well IMHO.

Some truth in that...But Professionally set coils will make the world of difference.

I think slammed cars look s**t now...Been there done that. It's a joke when people stare because it's scrubbin off the arches! Mines a nice height now.
