will take a look to see if this has been resolved lol, been about the 4th time watchdog have mentioned it lol

they have issued tech notes to dealers and bought in a specal silicon lube lol all very detailed, there will be a recall just to lube them not replacment

ok fair enough, but what can been in the mean time before they all go back for "inspection" ?

:(

they should of just kept the mk1 design:D none of this bonnet hitting window bollox. they do need to sort it out tho as thats not good..... happen to anyone on here?

Give it a good clean up mate get rid of all the crap/gunge build up then lubricate it with a long lasting grease/copper grease etc - No WD40!

wd40 disperses after a short period. I use wd40 to loosen up exhaust mounts etc. no good for long lubrication. Buy a tub of grease.

lol tech note is to call clio 2 back in check it and if we find it to be stuck/poorly maintained then used renault penitraing oil (sp) and a silicone teflon spray

I saw the last bit of it, did i hear them say they are asking owners to take their cars back to the garage and they'll sort it free of charge? Or do my ears fool me?
