When your car is away somewhere do you feel lost?

Away as in at the stealers or wherever, mines been in 2 days now an dim moping about wishing it was outside. Hoping i'll have it back tomorrow but knowing my local stealers I wont hold my breath.
So, anyone else feel like this when the car is away?

The best thing? Its a rattle in my glovebox that has stumped the stealer 3 times previously and is taking 2 days + this time!

I lost patience with the dealer long ago but its a warranty job so it will keep going back until its fixed.
Incidently, who should I go to with my complaints with the view of getting a free service for my trouble?
Its the Charles Hurst dealership.

So you are giving your car to a dealer for 2+ days for a rattle?

Make sure you write down the current mileage on a post-it and stick it on over the dials.
If you can, get one of those forms that hire companies have so that you can mark any little dents or imperfections before they inflict more.

I'm being serious you can search this forum to 6 in the morning and you will see evidence of dealer inflicted damage

I know what my mileage is and I do expect them to have a reasonable amount of miles added to it as the damn rattle only seems to appear after about 15 mins of driving. Anything I feel to be excessive I will be complaining about but at the end of the day, the rattle is mind numbing and I need it sorted.
Will definitely be keeping an eye for any marks they leave though.

I'll never forget the phonecall from my mate when he asked me why I was absolutely caining it around the local industrial estate.

I was 30 miles away from my car at the time.

Dad pinched my car yesterday because his colt was in for a service. Yeah. I didnt need it but its nice to know its there.

Not at all - I demanded this when stealers had my car ! But then they kept it over a week and it came back with 150 miles extra on the clock and dirtier than when it went in....... I have complained and got no where but they had put some fuel in (as I told them on the phone I wouldnt accept the car back unless they had), they'd just taken the piss with it.

No, I was supposed to be having something fixed at Renault, they ordered the part in, but I went down there twice for it to have either not come in yet or be wrong. They put petrol in it to cover all my wasted journeys. Probably cheapy crap stuff mind.

well its having cams, vernier pulleys, all the head work and a decent re map i just cant wait to get it back! it has also developed a problem with the steering that ben has to sort out as well my bill is getting higher and higher, but at least it will b mint when it comes back!! il start the bodywork next and the inside! and il have to race you!!!!

Will pretty much be the same power as my old one. Trust me with that power they are fun cars. Very fun! My sx is quicker than my clio but nowhere near as fun imo. But i cant hack the problems you get with clios. I had a brand new gearbox go in under a month. It did go to Santa pod though...lol

Can remember my blue one flying past you back in the day.

yeah but that was with engine no.2 which was the worst one i drove round with a ring gone for ages b4 i changed it 2 the willy engine. believe me id love to have hassle free motoring but it would take the fun out of driving if the clio didnt break down all the time id get bored of it at least as its always off the road it hasnt lost its sparkle!!!

Mine was in the dealers for a week as easter added a couple of days waiting for a part to be delivered. Managed to borrow a car from work to use but it just wasn't the same.

Well its back, rattle doesnt seem to be as bad, before it was constant now its intermittent. It'll get a good run tomorrow when I can decide properly!
