i have a sony handy cam and i have two DVD's which i want to put onto one normal sized DVD.

ive just used total video convertor and extraced the two videos and converted them into mpeg, burned it onto the normal sized DVD. but when i put it into DVD players it does not play. what format do i need to use so DVD players can play it??

lol. You need it in...dvd format!

DVD requires MPEG2 files in a specific transport format. You'll want a tool that converts the MPEG2 to VOB format and creates the other necessary files.

I'm sure there are a million free tools. I remember a tool on sourceforce called dvdauthor or something which took MPEG2 files and created a valid DVD tree for you.
