half the time they dont know what their looking at lol took mine in.just wanted a header tank lid and the guy wanted a look under the bonnet so i lifted it up and he said that battery looks different!?! its not a battery mate its the charge cooler i said!:lolup:
he was so confused:S
then he said u must have a bat to start the car
i showed him to the rear of the car.

And it feels it too, could not believe the delivery. I think this is what helps with the traction.

Roughly how much is one of these conversions?
Was there much work done to the engine, any head work, thicker gaskets fitted, lower compression pistons, anything on the cooling system uprated (oil / air) over standard apart from the charge cooler?
What gearbox and clutch combination are you running the power through?
I'm sure I'm not the only one eager to see the vids. I'm very jelouse!

thats nowt, sat in traffic on friday in my 225 reset my trip got 3.8mpg and used 1 gallon in 0.4 of a mile !
ironically when i reset the trip and did a full run i got 8 mpg at 150mph lol

depends if i need them. I think they are next on the list. good pads will do me though. ds2500s bedded in properly stopped me from over a ton to zero in around 100 metres.

After I sold my much loved/modded 5gtt I got a Peugeot 1.9 GTI Turbo Technics. Its power figures were modest by todays standards, 175bhp and almost similar torque number. But in its all up weight of well under 1000kgs and low gearing you could go allmost everywhere in top gear.
I can empathize with Dave's enthusiasm for his new Clio, and am coming to the conclusion that the best way for big/reliable power is forced induction. Jeff Kershaw [Turbo Technics] was the main man in that field in the 80's, well engineered and reliable conversions was what they were known for.
Nowadays there's BB [boot in the baws] and K Tec. Their engineering credentials I think are not outstanding.

Dont mean to p*ss on ur fire dave but id get it rolling roaed somewhere else just to confim ur power output because its a fact that bb tunings rollers are totally incorrect!
But its a good bit of kit but id start pricing up all replacement parts for the engine as ive noticed from steve 172-250,s they dont last five minutes once you fit a turbo!
