Oil Capacity and Grade Mk2 1.2

Just picked up a little shed as a run around. It is a Mk2 Phase 1 1.2 Clio on an S plate (1998)

Want to give it a good service. Anyone know what grade of oil to use and more importantly how much it holds? Unfortunately I dont have the owners manual.

I think I still have about 4 litres of 10W40 Halfrauds shizzle left in the garage from the old MX5 would that do the job ok?

Also she has ticks a lot, I assume this is either tappet clearance or just needs a good flush and oil change?

Yep thats will be fine.

Forget the flush just chnage oil and filter and see the effect.

i think they've got mechanical tappets, so probably needs some adjusting (been a while since i've worked on one)

from memory clearance on the inlet is 0.1mm and 0.2mm on exhaust (thats cold)

the oil you have will be fine
