1.6 bhp

wat could i get a 1.6 clio say 2003 model up to? and what performance mods would be good for that engine? any info/pics would be great.
cheers

220hp the bits exist for that level. (super 1600 race spec)

There supercharger and turbo kits which have made over 200hp.

How much have you to spend I recon 300hp can be done without turbos.

i want about 150/160bhp, what are good filters, manifiold, inlet manifold or how do i get it 'matched' duno if thats right, remap to rev higher, cams etc.

Forget filter and stuff your taking good cams head work and manifold redesign (talk to benR at Angelworks he's doing some development work) or
individual throttle bodies maybe.

  Civic Type R EK9
Filters and little bolt on mods wont do alot do them last if at all do headwork cams etc 1st

my mate got 220hp from a 106 gti if thats anything to go buy altho its built to peugeot sport s1600 spec the seq box was £11,000

M

mini-valver

Mine had matched inlet, de cat, cat back pro speed and simota forced IK and I recon that was around the 115bhp mark. Not cost affective TBH.
It's in Angelworks as we speak having work done and its not your average mod.....

they get 220bhp in S1600 form, and thats restricted. probably good for 240-250bhp N/A unrestricted apparently!!

but your talking tens of thousands for that sort of power.

i looked into the full 1600 thing when i blew mine up and was going to put a 1600 in it, could have got 140bhp out if after a couple of grand. so spent £150 and put a 1.2 in it again (already had a perfect shell and VERY well set up chassis) and you can have more than enough fun in it! (got a lightned and ballanced bottom end for it now from my old engine hehe)

although getting a mk1 172 now to satisfy my need for more power lol keeping the wee 1.2 though!

what was needed to get it to 140bhp?

also are there turbo kits etc or supercharge kits available readily for the 1.6?

are throttle bodies available too?

  RB 200 Cup!
completely strip the interior of unwanted weight - rear seats panels etc - power to weight ratio would be better then

Also got, FK coilys, Brembo Max discs, ferodo race pads and moquip stainless braided hoses.

goes well corners well and stops well! Had an audi s3 lastnight that couldn't pull away from me.... (i was mega impressed)

have you got any pics of the powerflow cat back exhaust, and price for both decat and exhaust?

couldn't find the de-cat on the devil website.

the 2.0 throttle body, is it really easy to replace?
