Installing induction kit to a 1.2 (2001)

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Hey guys, i am wanting to fit an induction kit into my 1.2 clio... but not entirely sure how to, i have taken off the cover, and taken out the factory filter, but is left with a retangular hole, what goes there?... and where can i buy the cheapest induction kit?

well....you should have a new box, or half of one. and itll have a hole pertruding from it. Onto which you will seal the filter.

Hope you havent bought a universal one as they dont fit on our clios.

Try K-Tec racing.

where i have circled in red, do i get an adapter or cover that clips in place, that has a hole in it, to attach the hose there, and at the end of the hose attach the cone filter?

You need a base plate. Pipercross supply them, or you can go on K-Tec and buy thier induction kits which come with a chrome base plate I think.

Is there no other cheaper versions of the adapter plate?...

Is this the same sort of thing/?.... the black rectangular thing...

So if i was to buy the exact kit as the one i pictured above, all i need to do is attach the black rectangle to the cover, then attach the hose to the hole, and aattach the cone filter to the oher end?.. and bobs ur uncle?

id buy fred's adapter plate from him (rubber seal too?) and go buy a universal filter, or an enclosed filter or whatever to go with it, making sure the inlet hose is the right size.... Cold air hoses aint much either.

I got mine from race dynamics off ebay.

You can also try ktec, green cotton filters and pipercross, and theres a ton more out there im sure...

To be honest, iwoudl rather buy a brand new k&n one, or pipercross or whatever, seeing as they have a warranty on it!

But thanks, chris!
