clutchcable makes grinding sound

  R35 GTR
when i push it up and down. just the cable or pedal bit. Not the clutch.

However the clutch is a bloody noisy one, but been told it is normal for a paddle clutch.

sounds more likley to be the release bearing

try running the engine, bonnet up, and pull the cable going to the clutch fork with your hand, if the noise/rattle stops when you pull it, its the release bearing

yeah no prob, it would probably be better to use the nimbus sheet for that, i'd have to see the bay before we would do anything

Might have to do it without you, as I am planning on removing the turbo and manifold tomorrow, so will be perfect time to fit the heat shield. I have seen the nimbus stuff on demon tweeks.

Yeah i have noticed the release bearings on 182's can be noisy, i changed the clutch cable on my brothers 182 yesterday, he said the clutch operation felt notchy when the engine was warm, a new cable sorted it out, i think the parts were about £21.
