Hey peoples,i have had my 182 for 3 months now, previouse car was an 05 plate 1.2 clio dynamique from new passing my test. This is my third year driving, but i truely want a black v6! I had to get the 2.0 first as insurance for that is rather high, but by the time i am old enough to ensure the v6 they will be old and ragged! I adore clio's,as much as i love my 182 its not the real thing compared to the v6.

Forget the V6, buy another 182, 5 seats, handles better, quicker, it's black and has a turbo.....;)

cheaper too.

  Clio v6
Well I tend to disagree with you over one point. Your 182 is the real thing. Not an entirely better car, but the v6 is just a totally different car.

Have you done any test insurance quotes yet?

Oh and be careful with the black v6s they are much faster. ;)

Define real thing? As the 182 trophy was in evo's "cars that uped the mark"

i dont really get the whole v6 thing :( i prefer the 182 and when i move up to something better it wont be a v6

You can't even put a v6 & a 182 in the same category tbh, sure thay are both clios, but thats where it ends.

I've never liked the V6 looks. Up close, the detailing is bad - horrid shut lines and all very plastic feeling. I've not driven one though. I'm sure they are great :)

imo a V6 is a one-off wonder car, ok its a REnault but its a midengined V6 in a Clio, Evo has said it is a car you must drive and own if u have any other supercars. you cannot compare it to a 182, it's not like a 330 and an M3, It's a modern day classic like the 406 coupe and M3. Cars like the F40 are truly great cars and have s**t body panels etc, every car has it's niggles iinspite of being regarded as a classic.

^
they were hand built (well the mk1 was, not sure of the mk2) so I guess you've seen a few sh*t ones.

So far they've all looked the same to me. I think the bodykit fits like a cheap wig. Horrible details and bulges around the lights that simply look like an ebay kit :(

Well said edde, the build quality on mine is fine, mo shoddy panel gaps etc, i'm really happy with it.
I guess at the end of the day it depends on who built it though.

Exactly hand built car the build is on the whole better than the normal cars they can be more variation though.

LoL @ hand built. 99% of all trim & final in car plants is hand fitted anyway :D

It's no doubt a great car, but the bodykit doesn't fit too well and it's nowt to do with who builds it ;)

im thinking the same as i have a 182 which ive had nearly 2 months yet i feel i need something abit more fun, ive got my van for work so clio dont get used too much

:rasp: @ revels;)
I've always wanted one, and now i've got it i'm very happy. I'll only sell it for a rare coloured mk2.
With the v6 you either get the idea & want one, or you don't !

I'll defend the v6 too! They are awesome cars.

I was a huge critic until i had a go in a few, and its sooo not a clio. Doesnt feel like one, doesnt go like one, genuinly feels like you're sat in a big money supercar.
