Car  Looking for a Clio Sport
Can anyone give me a run down of all the features this car has, also if anyone has any pics of their 1.6 it would be greatly appreciated

Im going to buy one and im needing as much info on it a spossible, is it a good runner, fastish car, mpg, full spec like E/w, sunroof etc etc.

much appreciated folks

:star::star:

Good spec TBH,
Mine came with-
E/W
E/M (heated)
Electric sunroof
A/C
Trip computer
Alloys

The 1.6's have stiffer dampers and springs as well as the massive ARB as standard too. Handle better and have a considerable speed difference to the 1.2's.

what is the BHP, max speed of it?
why is it such a rare car? was there only so many of them built?

errrrr ^^ sorry for all they questions!

thanks by the way

110bhp, I've touched 135 on a private road....
Not fast, relatively nippy though. Good bit of torque as standard too

cool, i had a 2.2L standard Astra Irmscher 2001 and i didnt think that was fast either, think it was just with the weight of the car that slugged it along.

110bhp sounds cool tho

Not many 1.6's because not many brought them, they are nice cars i would have one anyday of the week go for the dyn + gets most toys E/W E/M E/SUN climate control etc

Mines a 53 plate 1.6 Dynamique, has:

E/Sunroof
Elec/heated mirrors

Climate Control

Not had it up to top speed yet, but pulls quite well.

Now seem to have found the knocking sunroof noise though!

guys im doing an insurance quote for the car and my lass

what is the immobiliser on this car?

thatcham or just standard or ????

some people say it is cat 1, some say cat 2 some say it doesnt have a thatcham rating! Best betwould probably be to ring a renault dealer with the registration number and ask them.

Think i just put down it was factory standard immobiliser.

pmsl at a comment further up stating they've hit 135mph in a 1.6... 120ish maxed is the best gps read you'll ever get out of a standard 1.6

agree, 122mph is the quoted top speed. If your speedo over-reads by that much you must be driving everywhere a bit slower than you actually think you are going.

Indicated 135, I s**t you not.

In reality, it's probably 125-130 but I don't have sat nav so rely on my speedo.

Besides, I don't really give a toss if you beleive me!

lol believe you or not which I don't give a toss about either ;) FACT is they won't touch 130! GPS on my old one was the best mod I ever bought :)

Not doubting what was indicated, just saying there is no way that is how fast you were going, I don't care whether you believe what i am saying, but theres the info in the links above. I suspect most manufacturers speeds quoted are slightly optimistic in most cases, so if anything its probably slower.

LOL, When did I say I was actually doing a proven 135? I just said I'd touched 135, which the speedo told me I had. Why this is so hard to beleive I;'ll never know.

It's like the road driving stories thread, It's pointless as no matter what car or where you raced it there's always some fucktard that has to give stats and figures from websites! Theres so many variables, wind direction, road surface etc etc and the fact my car is'nt standard.

I don't car how fast I was actually going, the speedo said 135, It may be 10 mph or it could be 1mph out. Who are you to say? Get back under you rock's!

Cat 2 means just an immobiliser, Cat 1 means alarm and immobiliser apparently

I don't recall saying that you did say that was your actual speed, all i said that indicated or not, a 1.6 dyanmique is not capable of that speed as standard. you also didnt say earlier that yours was anything other than standard. the original question was about these cars as standard so the info is for the original posters benefit. I suggest you come down off your high horse, brush the chip off your shoulder, and think before you start firing insults at people.

To which I said 'I've seen 135 in mine' Not 'standard ones do 135' so you're arguement is'nt valid.

Wether it's a true reading or not, my car does 135 according to the speedo.
For example, do you check your speed via GPS and speed guns or do you simply look down and check the speedo when quoting a speed?

Seeing as how the question the original poster raised was about 1.6 dynamiques, and he didnt ask for info about modified ones, the point of your post concerning 135mph in yours could be classed as being invalid.

As i use a gps in my car i do compare the speeds from speedo to gps and know that the speedo overeads by 2mph in my car.

This is all i have to say on the matter and I really dont think name calling is a good way to try and win an argument by the way.

If it'll pull to the limiter in 5th then its going to show an indicated 130-135 or so, whether your actually doing that is besides the point. But you can get that shown on the speedo.

Thank god for that, sense!
It was at 6.6k, so more or less on the limiter.

Limiter is supposed to be 6.5k but mine will rev to that so I think its about 6750rpm, so 6.6k sounds about right imo.

Yeah mine definately hits the limiter at 6750, glad someone agrees!

So whats the 1.6 like for running costs then ? im having a re think and may change my mind about the dad's colt. i dont think i could put up with a 1.1.

am getting 44.5mpg at the moment with a mixture of about 50/50 town and A road driving, not sure about anything else yet as it i due for its 4 year service in september and i have only had it for just under two months

cool. i really want somehting with a little more bite. and after seeing JB's clio do so well against the 172 its kinda taken my fancy again
