I had the same thing a while ago from a transit tripper, but it was a car mat which hit my car at 50mph and the rough side grazed the left side of the front bumper.

Lucky enough it only took me a couple of hours of polishing it get it out.

Could have been worse, I was going to a cruise back in the day with my mate and he was in front of me and a whole plasterboard flew off the back of a lorry and got wedged at the front of his car because it was so low and started to disintergrate so I was bombarded by plaster chunks

LOL I thought the same, remembered posted any pics of the damage but never saw the thread again.

As others a have said could have been worse, infact the splitter may have saved the front valence.
