Remote Egnine Start , oil pressure indicator system

Writed a remote engine start for the fun of it really :)

After the relay starts the engine. The pink wire on the remote start relay needs to have 12V power to tell the relay not to start the engine again cuz its all ready started..i need to know here to get this 12v feed from.
some one said 'oil pressure indicator system' But i dont know where this is :) Some one please understand me hehe :)

many thanks Rob

Other words. I need to no where a wire is in my 1.2 Mk1 Ph1 That will ONLY have power when the engine is on

Oh, sorry, didt read your post properly.

So you are saying you need feedback to turn off the relay?

Why what circuit are you using?

Would just use a simple push to make so the relay only had power when the button was depressed.

Exactly i need 12V+ feedback to turn the relay off when the engine has started.

he's saying you could get a relay that will only trigger the starter while you are pressing the key fob button so you just press and hold the key fob till it's started then release it.

imo it's a bit safer too as if the cars in gear and you see it lurch forward once you let go it'll stop wheras with your idea it'll keep turning itself over down the road.

Ummm didnt really want to change the relay as its all timed and set up for remote start. like this.

Or just use u simple timer circuitinstead of feed back. like:

RC signal -> Timer, relay on. (engine turns over and should fire) Timer Off, relay off (starter stops)

you will also need a sensor on your gearbox to ake sure its in neatral before it activates for MOT AFAIK.

Do you have an alarm system or are you just trying to retro fit a remote start kit?
