What should I replace at timing replacement ?

My Clio 172 Mk2 2003 done 42K miles. I'm going to replace Timing belt. What Should I replace beside the timing belt + 2 engine pulleys + water pump ?
Aux tensioner + its belt ?
engine mounts ?

p.s
I have a small leakage from the gearbox. I saw that it come from the 2 gearbox big covers. What might be the problem ?

The water pump shouldn't need changed, but def change the pulleys and the Aux belt and all tensioners. A pulley can cause major damage if it fails.
As for engine mounts, is there anything wrong with them? Not sure about the gearbox, but apparently they are prone to leaking anyway.

If you want to do a proper job, replace:
-cambelt with the 3 tensioners/pulleys (the cambelt kit).
-aux belt
-aux belt tensioner
-aux belt idler
-the bolts holding it all on
-water pump is recommended, leave if its fine as can always be replaced after another 36k with the aux belt. Check the condition of the alternator and power steering pump while its all off.

What do you mean by gearbox covers? The ends of the gearox where the driveshafts go?

-aux belt idler
-the bolts holding it all on
-water pump is recommended, leave if its fine as can always be replaced after another 36k with the aux belt. Check the condition of the alternator and power steering pump while its all off.

How much extra would that normally be at a Renault Specialist for all of that as opposed to just booking it in for cam/aux and water pump?

Will they change pulleys and tensioners as standard? Mine is booked in tomorrow - taking it over today so need to know asap if its all usually done or should all be done.

AUX belt has to be changed well has to come off to do the cambelt so it has to be changed it should never be reused as such

You forget to add the camshaft seal in there there realy important to change.

Just check the aux belt tensioner though at £80 no need to replace it unless your over keen or its worn/damaged etc.

Renault should do all that and camshaft end seal as standand Ok they don't do aux belt tensioner but as said no need.

I forgot about the seals, its really hard to pop them off without damaging them.

Keep filling it up otherwise you can have the box taken out and try seal it better but it needs to leak a bit anyway.

72k or 5 years if you follow renault.

Id say 60k/4 yers but yep the renault rle is a bit lax IMO

Its always advised with most cars if it track dayed/is frequently driven on dusty roads/driven in extreme cold weather/driven it salty air areas/has repeated short trips/used to tow, to half the the interval to 36k.
