Drying!

What do people think to microfibre dryin towels? like ones in link.
anyone use them? any better than a chamois? I have yet to find a good chamois that leaves no streaks.

Yeah, Microfibres are much better than anything else.

I just lay them flat on the paint work then patt it till u get damp patched on the towel lift and wow its all gone. lol

Microfiber drying towels are a much better option than the Chamois that said I don't dry my Black Gold at all, just rinse with filtered water and allow to dry naturally.

When I do dry cars, Sonus Der Wunder Drying towels from www.cleanyourcar.co.uk or Micropalk Ultra Soft Drying Towels from Clean and Shiny.

Normal MF's will work fine, just you will need a few compared to one big drying towel.

They still marr Black Gold. I bought some sonus micro fibre towles, and it still marrs my finish, even after giving it plenty of water on rinse. I'm now getting a filter like rich i think

The white dots could be because your in a hard water area . Use a waffle weave towel . I also use an autoglym aqua blade to remove the majority of water . Chamois leathers are crap tbh , you've more chance of causing a streaky finish using one .

MF towels are a safer option for you paint than a Chamois.

I did do, but since a PC'd it a month or so ago, i have been blotting. I find it a pain, so will just get a filter i think :approve:



Rinse, done.

Flitered Water and MF towells are the way forward.

But in the anal world that most of us who post in this section live in it takes a good hour or so for a proper drying lol..

Aquagleam filtered water, quick lap round the block, dry the shuts, wheels and arches, 10 mins tops. :approve:

How would we prevent this?
Would MF Towel and pat-drying help?

Really happy with the finish on mine now, want to keep it that way

As she sits I have 2 coats of Clearkote moose wax on top of CK Vanilla Moose hand glaze, all after a polish with Menzerna Intensive Polish.

I'd like to be able to wash it and add to the layers of wax now without having to worry about marring & swirls
