Clutch Question for Clio Sport 172

On my 172 (2003) the clutch is higher than the brake is this normal?

How much difference is there? The technical notes advise that the clutch pedal should be adjusted so its the same height as the brake pedal or near enough.

clutch is always high and is self adjusting, best to live with it. so long as it operates ok

Mines about an inch higher.
