You can always drop the price, never raise it. Nothing worse than undervaluing (sp) then it getting snapped up pronto with loads of interest. You'd then wish you'd put it in for more

FFS, stop devaluating each others cars, this has to stop god damn it!

Good luck with the sale guys, i'm sure you will get it's real worth by not listening to a select few ;)

that should be the clubs new motto.. welcome to cliosport... the club where everyone thinks your car should be sold to them at £1k under market value

we'll try be realistic as possible with the price... see what interest we can generate really

To be fair, there's been some balanced views in this thread so far, and you did ask for advice IIRC. What did you expect? Us to all start sucking each others dicks and waving cheque books in your face? :clown: ;)

  Clio 172 mk2
lol @ Roy's comment

TBH I think it would be better sold with the original wheels on simply because you'll get more for the Turinis sperately.

Great car though and should go quickly as liquid yellow seems to be a fave on here.

I'd sell it with the Turini's on - it's an enthusiast type car anyway and the turini's enhance the looks quite a lot. The 182 wheels sell for a pretty penny anyway so they're not exactly going to lose you money by selling separately.

As said, most cars on here are advertised for less than other places - it happens with all car enthusiast clubs. If you're in rush then advertise it for top whack and slowly bring it down every 1/2 weeks until people start calling.

Yup, it's a stunning car. In current trim I'm slightly tempted myself. Perhaps a bit silly considering I already have a nice 182, but it shows the difference the wow factor of the colour and wheels can make. Makes it special IMO, and also means all that effort and work goes onto another (hopefully) enthusiast owner :approve:

yeah there is Roy... but at the same time there's the usual comments flying round made by people that can't back up what they say to determine how they are valuing a car....

hard to judge price really as Evy's is up for sale at 8995 which is a cracking price... whilst the mod's are nice on Amie's, the mileage is slightly toppy for it's age

I seem to have 3/4 people interested in the Turinis, so i guess it makes sense to sell them seperatley - Car doesnt look as nice with the 182 wheels on it though :( hehe

Finally some one with some sense. The 306 GTI 6 owners club where the worst for this a few years ago, all looking for a bargain driving down the prices.

Good luck with the sale Amie.

Thanks Rich :)Car is ok 38k now... but its been well looked after, regardless of cost.. anyway, i will leave this for the for sale add ;)

I wonder how the turinis would look on my 182? Probably the b****cks based on this old photoshop...I never did get around to lowering it, but this would be c. 40mm.

There's quite a queue forming for the wheels Roy ;) but they'd look great on any colour i reckon

I've said this in another thread but it's a pet hate of mine on this forum. If it's a 1*2 then people try to knock about a 1/3 of the value off yet if it's a valver/willy they seem to want double what its worth. Shower of c*nts!

My hero. Glad to see you back on the boards. :approve::D

Good luck with the sale. Personally I'd stick it back to standard and I'm sure you'll have no problems shifting it.

That car's worth £8500 all day long, especially with the maintenance work that you've had done.

Some people on here need to take a reality check.

£8500, standard trim, job done :approve:

  Clio 172 mk2
Worth £8500 for those who like the liquid yellow.

Getting very close to Trophy prices though

As above LY commands a premium and its worth whatever someones prepared to pay for it. I reckon £8.5-9k.
Alot of people harp on about its getting close to Trophy prices, well not everyone wants a Trophy! The lack of Xenons and cloth rear seats are not everyones cup of tea and you can say "oh but it has the sachs dampers and the anthracite turinis", if someone is set on Liquid Yellow your wasting your time trying to tempt them with a Trophy. If there is someone out there now hunting for a mint well looked after LY you can charge what you want.

As you're in no rush, stick it up at top dollar!!

But id swap the wheels over, let them go to someone on here and make a few quid extra, that'll buy you some new stuff for your kitchen (thats where you'll be, Gareth knows where women belong ;))

You wont get any less because it hasnt got turinis but you'll make more selling them separately!
