Just had my first crack at this with a photo I took earlier in the year.

Was trying for this kind of effect which are fricking amazing

I have got a tutorial of how to do this in what camera on my desk. havnt got round to doing it yet.

Photomatix Pro

easy tutorial

take a nice landscape pic, create two identical jpgs, with -2 and +2 exposure. load into photomatix pro, generate HDR,, select tone mappings, and piss around with the settings.

yeah probly, although you'll need 3+ images with different exposures

Just tried it, got the same picture and changed the exposures photoshop loaded for a min and then gave me a black picture, whats that all about?

What PS you running? I have CS and there is no HDR in automate... Just photomerge which doesn't seem to be the same.

It all Depneds on your shots to be honest, I somtimes Merge 7 photos Ppl tend to keep to three but you can achieve the "Higher" dynamics with more pics and more varients to what the eye can actually see.
