I usually sit on the fence and appreciate most things, but I hate HDR with a passion, particuarly overdone stuff. Flickr is full of photos tarted up with heavy handed HDR to mask a crap original photo. Done well it gives you an image of what we actually see with our eyes (as cameras will always struggle with that) and I appreciate the stuff done really well, but most of it is just lazy.

I did try fake tilt-shift for a bit of fun last year, came out ok...

I was going to say they all look like pictures of models, is that the aim with the effect?? Looks cool.
 
HAHA tilt shift looks quality, shall give that a go.

HDR is cool and easy to do with photomatix pro!
 
if it looks natural hdr is brilliant, but some people go wayyyy over the top imo.

prefer just whacking on a linear polariser. gorgeous blues :)
 
had a go at that tilt shift, well easy and it looks funny.

I did some pics of cars starting at santa pod lol
