Booking a Testdrive

Im wanting to book a testdrive on a 197 but just wondered how a testdrive goes?

I mean do they hand you the keys and go have fun or does one of the salesman come out with you?

Never done one before so curious really

Depends on the dealership's insurance. Salesperson will probably come out with you, especially with the car being a performance vehicle.

Damn why dont they trust people like on the Laguna testdrive's they are giving out!

reno in norwich will def have the salesman go with you - might let you out on your own if your like 30 tho but as im only 22 doubt they would

it doesn't really matter if they do come out with you... you've got control of the car. I had the salesman holding on for dear life when i bought my 182.

He was going on about the ESP so i thought i would try it out for myself so found a nice roundabout to abuse I then got back to the dealership and bought the car

Yeah I know they do, didnt know if it was standard practice with all of them etc etc. Bit OT but i've never had a decent experience at Rawlinson!

when i went to test drive a 172 he just gave me the keys, so i went had fun to see what it could do, hope no one bought it after lol.

Last tiem I had a test drive it lasted 40 minutes and the salesman came with me, nice guy until I told him I didn't want the car

Have signed up for the 197 on Monday 17th. When i looked earlier this Friday was avaliable. Damn oh well il take Monday off and have a play!

Did Notice this as part of there T&C's

"In order to take part in the User Chooser 24 Hour Test Drive Programme, you must:

* Be a company car or van driver
* Possess a current credit card
* Hold a valid full driving licence
* Provide your personal and company details to Renault UK (these details will not be divulged to anyone other than Renault UK's fleet department, authorised Dealers)
* Comply fully with the Terms and Conditions of the test drive programme"

Put it under my old mans Driving School so will see if they accept it!

Nope no mention of age etc. Just the Terms and Conditions they mentioned above
