Ipod Docks.

Hi, I was orignally going to get a docking station with the speakers built in, Like the Bose or the apple one, But I have some very good speakers for my PC now thanks to Mr and Mrs Claus.

I know I can just stick the Ipod touch into a usb via a lead, But does anyone make a docking station for my PC, That I cna put it into charge up and control music through my pc speakers from the actual ipod itself?

Itsa touch 8gb btw.

Why don't you just buy a decent set of PC speakers and listen to music through iTunes rather than the iPod? The software is a lot better and can then use them to listen to films and games on your PC. I got a Logitech set for about £60, and although only 2 channel + sub, is really very good quality. Obviously therer are better sets out there depending on how much you have to spend though. Its just a bit more flexible in my opinion.


Alternatively, if you are definite about a dock - ignore me!

The dock apple sells has a 3.5mm jack plug output and a remote control.

I just use the laptop and play the music wirelessly to an airport extreme via itunes which is plugged into to my amp on my seperates.

Why don't you just buy a decent set of PC speakers and listen to music through iTunes rather than the iPod? The software is a lot better and can then use them to listen to films and games on your PC. I've got a very nice set of Bose Computer speakers, And i am currently playing it through i tunes with no problems, But i want to be able to play it from my touch, Basically because of the novelty value and im sad

there is only one really decent dock worth getting it's the arcam r-dock usually around £120 but the quality is amazing i have one running with a arcam solo and the sound quality is hardly discernible from a cd
