NICE! How did you paint the caliper just out of curiosity looks like you done a good job off. I took the wheel off and painted it still connected but next time i may take the caliper off and paint it

I just took the wheel off, wire brushed it to clean it and painted it using hammerite, hammered grey (still on the car).

Cheers for the comments guys.

That was SO near the same car that I bought! Love that colour on the 172 and it was only the d1ckhead salesman that made me turn around and walk away.

Great work on the car. Looks superb! :approve:

D.

What difference do the sportlines make? Had them on my 182cup, but as it was lower than a 172 anyway I imagine these make more of a difference?

Awesome colour for the 172 ;)

What's the ride/handling like compared to standard setup?

You Knows It;)

Handling and looks much improved, fells the bumps a bit more but still very good ride quality. Really pleased with the setup now, more precise on turn in etc. How it should have left the factory.

Might go down the same route with uprated shocks, rather than coilovers not too sure yet.

I'd love to know who makes the standard suspension as it aint bad at all :)

Picked up my De-cat last night (Cheers Laingo) so will be fitting that at the weekend

Brap Brap.

Arent coilovers a bit much for the road.I had spax's on my old VR6 and they were bad enough
