FF and F4R - what does it mean?

Car  White clique
Hi everyone,

just a basic techie question - what are these, as i have not got a clue but keep seeing it referenced. :o

ff is full fat a model with all extras

f4r i believe is a type of engine iam not to hot on this but i think they are 1#2 engines

FF = "Full fat" ie. not a "Cup" model

F4R is the model number for the 2.0 16v engine in the Sports

edit: beaten lol

F7P is a Mk1 1.8 16v engine
F7R is a williams engine

Just to make the thread a little more "complete"

is that the code of the 1.4 16v? I was sure that was a 1.6 16v?

I have another question. What does this mean. "5drFTL"

I dont get it

;)

sorry just to clarify on this subject, a ff has both cup packs on it tho rite?
and the cup is the one without leathers?
cheers

182 Sport Full Fat comes with your climate control, leather interior etc. mate

The cup doesnt come with these luxuries as standard!

my mate has just got a 182 with out the cup suspension pack, would that class as a ff then??
sorry if sound stupid!

on the 182 the FF came with an option of two cup packs but you get also get a 182 FF without these

if they have silver wheel they have no cup pack
if they have anthicite wheels they have the cup pack

the 172 did have these options it was either a FF or cup
