saxo vtr is 4x108 aint it? clio is 4x100

What does the 108 mean? It was odd....the holes for the bolts didnt match up on the car, if you know what i mean? Just out by a cm on each one :S

But now i see why offsets and all that are so important when buyin!

  RenaultSport 172.
108....is the pcd

PCD=The diameter between the stud pattern
for example....
4x100 means there are 4 studs and there 100mm apart
4x108 means there are 4 studs and there 108mm apart
5x113 means there are 5 studs and there 113mm apart

therefore meaning the pcd wont line up with the clio one...

All the measurments are important and should be taken into consideration when buying!

PCD= the amount of studs and the diameter between the stud pattern . this needs to be correct so the wheel can be bolted to the hub.

C.B (center bore) = Size of the hole in the middle of the wheel. this needs to be the correct size to sit on the hub of the car

Offset. =This is the amount the wheel either sits in or outwards of the car. This needs to be correct as to little offset can mean it can rub on the archers and or stick out the car too much, and too much offset can mean it can foul on the inside of the car....
