induction kit question...

Ok... I ran a Viper induction kit on my 172 and it was too quiet, I didnt really notice the difference either although it did look pretty. Then on my 182 I ran a Pipercross filter and that sounded great!

Now I have and 197 and was wondering if anyone has changed their filter?

I'm not too bothered about so-called 'performance enhancement', I just want something noticably louder!

I've never heard of doing that lol

If your not worried about what it does to the performance why dont you just stick the biggest and loudest cone filter you can find on, preferably one thats the size of a large babys head:rasp:

Aint a 197 but i retro fitted a CDA to my 1.6...sounds great but to be honest really isnt ment to fit in the small space lol

Do you mean just leave it open abit so it can suck in air without passing through any type of filter?

If so there chance of it sucking in loads of dirt and dust etc? which wouldnt be any good for the engine?

Taking off the cap the filter is still attached to the intake of the engine so chances of sucking in crap are still minimal
