How do i tell the diffrence between a Mk1 Ph1 / 2 / 3 By just the bare shell ?
is any thing of the shell diffrent ???

ph1 grille is a double none colour coded thing, ph2 is colour coded u shape grille, ph3 is bubble headlights

How about the doors?
as I've seen a couple with 2 thick bars in them, And seen others with out.

- edit, dunno about the doors though, later cars may have come with side impact bars (I think they did tbh)

The shell sounds to be a normal clio one (assuming that the rear arches aren't flared)

not really planning nothing, Just interested ( to see if i've started with a good base ).

As i've started a project on a 93 mk1 Ph1 Shell. and was just wondering what was diffrence in shells between the phrases.

Sounds like quite a project you've got on your hands, please kep us up to date with it.

I'd go for a valver,williams or a 172 engine in it. I'd also consider plating the sunroof over (unless you wanna keep it)

easier putting in a new roof than trying to weld in a sheet for the sunroof

Looks like in the Ph1's shells there is a hell of a lot less tar / sound deadenin then the ph2/3s

I'm either going to Pop Vivit a Ally sheet in ( but don't no if this will look good or not )

or just get a new roof skin
