i'd steer away from 6x9. They point in the wrong direction for a start.

With £80 you can get some nice components for the front doors, thats it.
Apart from that, don't bother, leave it standard

£80 will prob get you some cheap 6x9s and a cheap amp from motorworld which will be loud but shocking quality, loved mine lol

yeh im only lookin for a cheap fix, nothing with exceptional sound quality, just something cheap n nasty realy! lol

Cheapest I can put together for you is:

http://www.motor-world.co.uk/show_prod.php?prod_id=12425
http://www.motor-world.co.uk/show_prod.php?prod_id=12434
http://www.motor-world.co.uk/show_prod.php?prod_id=10533

Total of £55 ;)

and then you can add a head unit for £43
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/kdg333-free-wallet-p-5738.html

and that setup is basically what i had in my fiesta lol.

Thats probably the only time i will admit this or give this advice, so feel honoured ;)

haha thats absolutely great mate cheers :D

if you are going for that kind of budget/those makes, i would go with the stuff linked as the 'upgrades' arent worth it imo

right, think im gonna go for:
this headunit £47
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jvc-kdg342-p-6230.html

this sub n amp £40 inc. all wiring

n then build my own stealth shelf £20ish
i think i can stretch my budget to that! what do you reckon?

  PH-Lamer 1.4 16v
errmm possibly yeh, im jus gonna do it in stages really, jus get some mdf n stuff from work, n work on it over a few weeks...but definately gonna get tha sub n amp for £40, seems a bit of a bargain to me

wattage means f**k all tbh, but i cant be arsed to explain that yet again

dont matter i googled it lol

"amplifier wattage is a pointless figure to judge a speaker on. The output of a speaker measured in decibals (dB) is dependent on the sensitivity of the speaker and the wattage put into it. 100 watts into a speaker with a sensitivity of 87db SPL at 1w@1meter will produce 108db SPL. A different speaker with a sensitivity of 96db will require only 12.5 watts to output at the same level."
so the more sensitive the speaker is the less wattage?
i know feck all about speakers as u can prbly tell btw lol

Installed the above today, including putting new speaker cable into the doors, pretty straightforward once you planned what you are gonna do!

Cheers

where did you put your amp?

ive changd my mind about mine now,
im thinkin new front components and tweeters,
cheapo under seat 200w active sub
should come to about £80 i think :D

id save your 80 little pounds up and wait till you can afford a decent setup IMO :)

wel this is jus a quick fix tbh, wil probly end up changin car in a few months anyway, so theres not much point in spendin 200-300 quid on a setup tha im only gonna use for 3 months
