ah that would explain it...i was in the BRDC (I think thats what it is) grand stand next door...

had to pay a fiver for it but I was happy with that seeing as the whole event itself was free.

Yeah, that's right next door. It's good they were letting people in that stand. £5 is a bargain as it's in a great spot.
