Do you have insurance?

If not, i know that on the 3g version the glass can be replaced unlike the 2g one as it was all connected.

Thanks dude! They are charging £160 for the whole screen replacement, I only need the glass replacing, everything else still works.

ive got a nokia 6300 and ive dropped it well over 100 times lol and it still works perfectly well..

Tip:

Don't drop it.

Maybe it landed on a funny angle, I've dropped mine a few times and doesn't even have a scratch.

Best bet is to contact the guys on iFixIt and they should put you in the right direction. You can get all the original iPhone parts but not the 3G parts from them just yet.

Really? I dropped mine from more than that, it bounced, landed and fully sunmerged into a puddle. Works perfectly, except for a nasty dent on the side.

Some insurers aren't replacing like for like on the iphone anyways, they're replacing with *gb 2g ones (even if you have a 3G)

I just dropped my Apple on the floor and its bruised. Might cut that bit out or have a sandwich instead.

You must have hit the sweet spot. 1st gen were more robust, i dropped mine loads of times but it looks like if you hit the corner of the new ones then bam!! smash!! wallop!!!

I upgraded in store but phoned 2302 from my iPhone yesterday and arranged the insurance with customer services.

I done the key test on my screen yesterday to show off to my friends how tough the screen is.

Luckily it is as tough as they say it is. Not a mark.
