basically, my situation,

got a set of bsa paragons 17" rims,
sanded down ready for primering,
however, ive had to put them back on the car because the wheels i had on the car have been taken back by theyre rightful owner :(
now im lookin at other options,
so do i either

Conform
Paint the 17s ive got and be happy with the same size wheels as everyone else

OR defy
and take a set of 13" by 7.5" mini superlight rims, that my m8s just offered
we put them on the car, and they look....different, i like the idea of being different, but thought id get some more opinions, it leaves a rather large arch gap, but leaves the car about 2-3" off the floor at the front splitter

Bear in mind with this pic that the car has 3 17" wheels and 1 13",
so it sits alot higher than it wud with 13s all round

would you take the different, euro look, or stick to the normal modding rules?

plus i think the driveshafts would much prefer them
17s on a 1.2 8v jst doesnt bode well lol
however, bye bye top speed :(

your right theres a big gap if you can lower the car some more to get rid of that gap then i dont see why it would work. would mean the splitter would have to go and so do the exhausts

lowering it that far would mean coilies, or airbags :clown:
im going down a very euro path by the looks of things,

Come back to me when you've tried getting 13" wheels over the brakes ;)

Those minilites do look good on the car in the pic, definately go for those over the 17s all day long.

can anyone recomend a coilies kit?

13s are too small for the clio and i'm pretty sure 14" is the smallest size that will clear the front brakes. Having said that an 8v will only have 230mm discs so maybe.

yup, we put them on before, only problem was the calliper comes ul slightly higher than the hub, so some 5mm spacers will be going on at the same time
its only a 1.2 8v so its got tiny brakes
