I'm at Surrey Rolling Road next saturday to see what it's achieved (if anything)...I'm hoping for a bit of a ram-air effect from the 120mm ducting behind the grill.

I'm going to see if between runs they'll let me disconnect the airfeed and rotate the airbox around so it draws air from behind the NS headlight instead, just like the Maxogens do above.

I've run at Surrey twice before (13 months and 24,000 miles apart) and the two seperate runs/graphs were overlaid and there was no difference at all...so we know that the RR there is consistant.

Watch this space.

Is that a Ph1 airbox? Im after an induction kit myself, it it performance french cars that has the review this month?

Cheers Chris

Could you not turn the airbox the other way and have the CAF down the wheel arch in the normal way?

on my 1.2, i know its not a sport but, i have ducting like above onto throttle body and then have pipercross filter mounted behind the grile pretty similar to this below

you can just see the filter in this pic below

it sounds the nuts and has no choice but to suck cold air in really

in stead of taking cold air to filter take the filter to the cold air :D

cold source induction kit :D

Is that some sort of heat sheild you've made there mate?

Dont see the battery causing much heat so its a tad odd.

Dont know why you all buy these induction kits. Its all about the cloth:

its all about the cloth.. when it gets jammed inside your inlets..

That cloth is brilliant! Nice one :)

Question: on the cold feed bend from the induction kit to the engine, there is a smaller tube coming from its elbow. What is this, where does it go, and how would one go about removing the existing one to be replaced by a Samco one?

Yeh,
Shielded by battery to create an area which is supplied with cool air - from CAf & side of grill directs it there too.

Just read the "cloth" thread - gesus that was funny

I'm thinking of scrapping the Viper & jamming a Brillo pad between my samco hoses!!

I've got a K&N panel filter with ducting to the airbox from the NS wheelarch, works very well I'd say! Cheap and effective, you are never going to see massive gains from induction kits anyway!

Hello I have a clio 172 MK1 and bought a bmc cda, seen in several pictures that some of you not have the tube to breathe leaving to will cda, my question is where league after this tube? The tube which I refer is what comes out of the box of butterflies curved tube which connects the fine (this tube that some have linked the other not).Excuse my English is that I'm Portuguese and I use the translator to esvrever.

Exemple,with tube:

Exemple,without the tube:

^^ What make is that?? seems awkward fitting, My k&n on stops much shorter than that. You got a CAF to it as well?

It's made of different bits. Took it into a tuning garage near my bro's work and the guy put it together from bits and bobs, cutting them to size.

CAF - not yet, but planned as well as a heat shield (even though there's a huge space around the engine :p).

Awkward fitting yes, but the guy decided it was going there and spent ages cutting things up to get it where he wanted it to go. :)

Matt H.... if anything that seems like it's going to be more restrictive. The angle of the black hose in particular is shocking...! (looks good though!)

Bump.

christmas time so im gathering some stuff for the car. coilys , wheels and i want an IK. Im really unsure about what 1 to go for. The Carbon Simota IMO sounds the best but im worried it will lose me some bhp. I know that NO IK will give me any gains but im wanting the best SOUNDING kit that DOESNT effect power. I need help:eek:

So videos please. I know what they all look like but im interested to hear the maxogen inside and out and the same for the others out there.

:)
