mk2 ph2 boot lock diamond on a ph1 boot?

want to put the mk2 ph2 style diamond with button press on to my ph1 seeing as the lock on mine is fucked anyway so it only locks with the central locking so was wondering weather the ph2 thing would fit and wire in?

Yeah shape of PH1 boot is slightly different

I was told when I wanted to change my mk2 ph2 to a mk2 ph1 that it would fit..just to confuddle things

You could fit a PH1 button on a PH2 as the PH1 button is smaller so it would fit in the recess on the boot.
