Clio 197 Xenon's

  Clio 182
guys

i have found a set of 197 Xenon lights which are part of a scrapped 197 that was involved in a rear shut? would this be easier to install and fit than buy an "Ultimate kit" They want £100 for the two lights????

Thanks

About the same maybe a bit more difficult, bumper and headlights needs to come off, ballasts need to be mounted, not sure on the 197 but the xenons on the 172/182 had an auto leveling adjuster on the rear axle so that may need to be fitted too, wiring ran, who knows if it'll flag up on the cars ECU etc..

Make sure the are actualy Xenons first as the Xenon headlamps also came as just standard H1/H7 halogen headlights !

Would you guys just recommend buying the Phillips Xtreme bulbs instead then? seems like It will save me alot of unessasary hassle????

im guessing you dont have the Projector head lamps ?? if so id just get uprated lamps but in the end youll still need to get the bumper off to change the Dipped Beam lamps (H1s) so its up to you

IIRC the standard cluster cars (Sliver) have a different wiring set up to each lamp, compared to the Halogen cornering lamps, and Xenon units.

Not just the same plugs with the extra wiring in the Head Lamps ?? (Just a Guess)

Cheers guys! Just going to look at getting the stronger bulbs! Seems far too much hassle to get them changed!
