Mk1 Ph3 Key Fob Changing battery

If I was changing the battery in a Mk1 Ph3 Key fob is there any thing I have to do. Will it work with out being reprogrammed does it matter how long the old battery has been out

I just changed mine on my old ph3, Cant remember the type of battery though, they're quite big round ones if that helps lol

I've got 3 Mk1 Ph3 clio's in atm and all of them are playing up with the remote immobilizer

Bigger I think, I think ive got my old keys somewhere ill go check now..

Can only find my ph1 keys . Have you checked all the sensors circuit boards by the interior light? They get damp normally and f**k up! You probably know this already though.

'Damp' LOL The Centre roof console spends most it's life in water lol.

All the key fobs work but they all have really crap battery's so when they get sold i pretty much have to get in the car and hold the key on the roof not very good when I'm trying sell cars lol.

On mine, even after i changed the battery you had to be strategic and hold the key next to the drivers door window pointing it at the sensor, try it.
