HMS Ark Royal

After seeing the Ark Royal come in I reallyw anted to get some better photos.

I went back today with the new lens to see what it can do!

Heres the photos!

While i was there i took a few photos of the surrounding area.

great shots! how did you get so close? i went on HMS Tireless a long time ago as my uncle was Chief Petty Officer. bit too young to remember properly but it was ace!

Its open to the public all week, got some funny looks taking a camera and tripod on. They also searched myc amera bag etc etc!

Well worth it though!

You definately have an eye for a good shot! The second photo is awesome, colours really pop and get a really good sense of depth. How you finding the lens? I'm not sure whether to go for one like this or to save up for faster glass.

The second was taken wit the 18-55mm ... couldnt fit that it in at 70mm lol

I love it, During the day it has no problems focusing, the detail is brilliant and if you look at the close up of the bomb the macro function is spot on!

But... i would like t alot more if it had a lower F stop but thats just silly money! But if your like me and its just a hobby.. this lens is fine!

The Ark is immense to walk around but i really want to know... "Kill cards" .. what are they exactly .. i seen it and had to take a photo!

Wow, some serious hydraulic action going on with the helicopter rota thingy
