knocking whislst ticking over

i will come to a stop and after about 30 sec a knocking noise wil start not really to sure any ideas ppls?

Knocking or Tapping? light tapping could be charcoal cannister (do a search) Knocking, only had this on my 1600 astramax van and 306 S16 big end bearings gone new engine ftw.

Probably engine mount, could be one of the mounts itself, or the movement allowing the manifold to tap against the subframe or something. I could be completely wrong though but worth looking at the mounts.

I have this for year. Cannister it is.

hiya it aint a problem went to a garage this morning thaNK GOD!!! i had a new alternator fitted last week cost loads lol and i lost my locking wheel nut key hope your well :rasp:

pwew when i read this i got well worried for you.dave gravestock off the trphy site has been through 2 engines in 90k due to bottom end trouble.first one threw a rod second spun a shell
