FAI cambelt and aux belt kit

Are these any good? Can get them at a ridiculoucly cheap price but didn't know if they're just a load of rubish or not.

comments and opinions please...

They tend to be decent enough for most bits - fairly big company as things go!

I'd be interested to hear what you've been offered a cambelt kit with tensioners for - I'd buy one to see if the tensioners are the same as the Renault kit!

Cheers

i did indeed...apologies :(

Yea will see what price i can get a Gates kit for but if it's expensive i'm just trying to find out about my super cheap alternative ;)

What did you get for £50?

Cambelt kit?
Water pump?

What else was it?

The cambelt alone would cost £30+ LOL and thats if you buy off ebay. Ive seen a few on there which were FAI ones, for around £40, dont know whether its for your model but its deffo for a clio:D.

  ITB'd MK1
Gates - OEM to Renault
Dayco - OEM to VW
Veco - Various re-boxed quality parts, last veco belt i got was a dayco
Quinton Hazell - Very good quality
FAI - Good quality

I'd use a belt from any of the above without hesitation

So when changing the cambelt, do i need the Aux belt kit aswell? or just the aux belt?

Sorry for hijacking again;).

didn't you say yours is a 1.2 16v? just a belt in that case possibly the easiest cambelt to change EVER

I was told i needed the following when changing the cambelt:

Cambelt kit
Water pump
Aux belt (Belt only)
Engine Coolant

Is this correct Danny?

Cheers for the help mate:cool:.
