Problem!

I have a ph1 mk2 and I really despise the fishing rod aerial. I've tried taking it off but it seems to be glued on, I've had the pliers on it and everything, anyone else had this problem?

if no luck unbolt it from inside the car and place in a vice and manipulate it free

Just use a pair of pliers, youll probably end up mangling up but itll be worth it. Then remember to put some grease in the base when you fit your new aerial, as theres probably pit of erosion etc.

i had the same problem on mine ended up brakeing my off the roof had 2 get 1 from the scrappy.

if your wanting to make it shorter, just cut it down to size and get a rubber tip off a mk2 ph2 aerial.
