maybe a stupid question, but is there any way to make a custom ringtone? cant use itunes purchased tracks according to manual and i cant use my drm free ones either?

If you install a Winterboard theme can you change the wallpaper to your own choice? I've tried everything I can see to do but it won't change.

Alternatively how do I just change the icon theme?

Im just about to update my iphone 2g to software version 2.2.1
Can anyone confirm that using quickpwn after their phone is jailbreaked and unlocked?. Dont fancy doing it then finding out it wont unlock/jailbreak.

You're N95 shouldn't be too bad for email to be honest. My N82 was pretty handy.

It's alright - Just the cost is a bit prohibitive compared to the iPhone. Free data FTW it seems ! lol

Tell me about it. I surfed some stuff on my N82 last month while waiting for someone to arrive. I covered about 10mb of data, which cost me £10.52!!! No way I'd have paid for a data tarriff though.

No I don't have to care. Christ, I was streaming movies off youtube on it the other night while getting pissed and bowling!!

Iphone help please...

Ok, I have and O2 orbit with unlimited 3g internet access. I want to get another phone as well infact the iphone but want to swap sims over so I have the number on my orbit on my iphone and vic versa. I have been told this will work but i will loose my wifi data bundle that comes with the Iphone. Tjis i don't mind but will i still be able to use my free internet 3g on the iphone or will it cost me.


Hope that makes sense.....

O2 keep telling me different things, has anyone done this....

I'm doing it now...not had my first bill yet but will let you know...

I have a £20 contract that has the Unlimited Web bolt on. Just put that sim in the iPhone, 3g works fine and 3 people from O2 assured me that using the 3g will be free due to the bolt on I have....

EDIT: Just checked my bill online....Web usage = £0.00 :)

Been with them for an age...each time I upgrade I get it a little cheaper, last time I upgraded was the free web bolt on applied :)

£20 gets me 1000 mins and 1000 texts and the free Web Bolt on

My ability to connect to net/retreive mail has been s**t over the last few days, I take it this is an o2 issue rather than known handset problem? Keeps saying it cannot connect to mobile data network.

I disabled 3G yesterday and email worked perfectly on GPRS and Edge.

If I was to get a iPhone on PAYG from carphone warehouse, could I then put my orange contact sim in it? Will there be any limitations on the phone? Data charges for example.

If you want to run it on Orange buy a 2G from eBay.

Guys, I'm trying to download some apps on my PC's iTunes, but when I try and sync to the phone I get a message saying I'm not authorised on this computer, so it doesn't add them to the phone...

Any idea?

Yes, you need to get the comp authorized. Iirc it's in the tools menu of iTunes. Only takes a minute to sort.

No idea why it wasn't authorised sooner, the store was already set up with my password and I've been using it for a couple weeks!

Don't know if anyone would know but say for example i buy a PAYG iphone then get a o2 simplicity chip and work it like that.

Then say the new iphone comes out in august, can you just upgrade the simplicity chip to a full 18month contract (so i could get the new iphone on a proper contract etc) anyone know? think thats what i'm going to do at the moment.

For anyones future reference it's actually under 'store' - authorise computer.
