Need Help !!!

Car  Clio 1.2 16V tomtom 3dr
Just polished my car for the 1st time this afternoon !!

I used the Autoglyn make from halfords.

On the roof of the car I can't seem too get the stuff off...

Ive went over it about 5 times and if I wait 5 mins it seems too come back:eek:

Could this be just condensation ? cause i don't want too ruin my car !!!

Cheers

Oh Dear, that stuff will take the paint off your roof. Get onto your insurance company quick!

So what product did you use? Theres a slight difference between brick acid on the roof and super resin

The quicker you act. The less damage... it does. Get the stuff off now! No Joke!

Maybe it was dropping cold.Ive done this before and it took ages for the wax to come off.

Autoglyn the cheapest nastiest chinesest import ever! Not being racist to China like! But autoglyn is paint stripper.

I think you've answered the question yourself... it will be the cooling damp air!!! I can remember a few years ago putting wax on my car and not being able to rub it all off.... I had started it late in the afternoon and as soon as the dew started to form, no matter how much I kept rubbing, I could not remove the wax and got it off the next day!

Jst used the high pressure jet wash and then a motorway drive too dry it off. And it seems ok now...

This was the 1st time Ive ever polished a car !!

When I touched the stuff it were just like mirky water.

Anyways Regards too " Cheap Chinesse Imports ". I actually asked a member of halfards staff as to which polish was the best too use... and he said autoglym...

It has got the royal seal of approval on the bottle !!

I didn't start polishing it till 17:30 or so and dusk came in pretty quick !!

So it were a race against time:eek:

It'll just be condensation mate! Best to leave it till the dew goes away, then redo it! SRP will not damge the paint if used properly! Some people on here are just too funny for words! It'll be grand in the morning!

yev got to lol at some folk, seriously. as said mate, your car will be fine! be worth buying EGP (Extra Gloss Protection) and a good wax if your getting into the polishing routine!

I used the Super Resin Polish and the EGP on mine the other day, looks really good. I thought using EGP meant I didn't have to wax? :S

Won't last that long, a wax will keep it looking well for longer. Try something like Collinites on top of the EGP, that stuff is really durable!

ED, shut the f**k up.

ed you really can be a complete arse to newbies, even though you have no idea what you are talking about a lot of the time. pipe the f**k down mate.

ignore the stupid comments. the haze coming back will be air cooling onto the surface at this time of year. the more polished the car is the more likely you are to get condensation. do not worry about it.

Exactly, give her another wee wash and dry her with a good quality drying towel and she'd be a good job!

I forgot halfards staff were fountains of knowledge! I'll be sure to ask the first spotty teenager I see wearing their uniform about products they sell next time I'm in there!
