Megane powered Twingo gt

Gez

Car  Yozza'd 182 RB 188bhp
Whilst at the Nurburgring i broke down, (long story). the garage that done the repairs was a renault specialist in Adneau. They had a Meganne 225 with no engine in and i asked where it was. He walked me out to the front and pointed to a Red twingo GT!!!
He said it was faily easy nad the only chopping was done to the the innner chassis to fit the garbox in. and there wasnt much missing!

Full rollcage, Two recaro buckets and 172 wheels. running 230bhp on sygen (i think) managment. He said it spins up in 3rd easy.

Only weighed 1070kg? Mad!

Whats that if mapped to 270...approx 250bhp ton?

Jesus lol. If a meggy 225 engine can be fitted to a Twingo..why havent we seen a 1*2 or 197 with a 225 engine in yet?

I just don't think anyone has been arsed, Fred was going to do it but don't think that is on the cards anymore?

Exactly, Twingo has the Clio chassis iirc? Probably the drilling part or whatever they did to get the gearbox in, would be awesome having a Megane turbo powered engine in a Clio though!

Alot of money for a Twingo, why not just buy a Megane and have the looks/warranty/reliability to go with it

Probably for people with more money than sense, just to see the look on a BMW driver's face when you rip them to shreds at the lights.

To put the bhp/ton figure of the twingo into perspective a bmw m3 (e92) has a bhp/ton of 254 according to evo.
