Go steady with a drill bit slightly bigger than the spot, only go through the weld though, not material behind it.
you will need special drill bits , spot welds are stupidly strong and you will probs end up meltin a few good drill bits like i did lol , think the propper bits are £12 ish each

Grinder with small disk and take it easy, will be gone in seconds![]()

They are the ones you want. If you are using a cordless drill I think you will struggle but I doubt you are.
The slower the better mate nice even pressure.

Yeah kev you can just basically sand down the bracket using a grinder until you grind it off completely. That way you may not leave holes
