Ph2 Flamer
Have just managed to very simply sort out what I thought was going to be either very complicated or very expensive. So I thought I would chuck it up on here incase anyone else has the same problem sometime.
Basically if you are as clumsy as me and somehow manage to let something unfreindly (like a screw) fall through the hole left when you remove a spark plug, there is a very cheap and simple way to get it back out. I.e. you don't have to take the cylinder head off or invest in some sort of keyhole surgery fibreoptic camera effort.
Nip down to b&q buy a short length of 8mm plastic hose, use a hoover adaptor (the thin flat one) and some duct tape to make a new hoover adaptor which will reach down into the engine like a long straw. Put a pair of tights or similar between the attachment and the hoover bag and suck whatever has gotten into the cylinder head back out. The tights will catch whatever comes down the hoover tube it so you can see when you've got it out.
