Insurance question

  Evo 8 MR
Basically I'm now 21 so would it be worth calling the insurers and letting them know and asking for a cut down in the original quote therefore lowering the remaining monthly payments?

I have a feeling they will say that my age has been taken into consideration when the original quote was provided, anyone in the know confirm?

For reference I was 20 when I took the quote out in March 09.

Sorry if it's been asked before.

As Da said i think, but having said that can't be any harm in trying.
I've been refunded money after changing address and vehicles - i know these are more serious factors but you could try the age thing.

You may be entitled to a small refund, i once got £40 back when i turned 18 on a policy, give them a call too see, but don't count on it.
Thinking about that money saving guy on gmtv, most places like insurance, water, electric etc have rebates available to issue, they don't have too inform you, however if you ask then they have to.

ah wicked I'll give them a cheeky call then tomorrow, if you don't ask you don't get I suppose.

If your insurance company doesn't charge through the roof to cancel and if you pay monthly, get another quote off them with your current age and if the new quote is less than the cancellation fee off what you're currently paying, then cancel and take out a new policy :)

(I think I worded that correctly ;) )

But you'd lose your accrued NCB for the year to date.
