  SQ5
He wanted some decent pics of it for a while and we were both doing nothing so went and grabbed some last night, unfortunately the battery was on its last legs so didn't get many :)

Crying out to be freshened up.

(Clean number plates, clear repeaters, silver wheels etc)

But I love it. Silver and Lellow are the best colours for a 5 imo.

beautttiful. How much do these go for?

I looked at a white 1998 one with 33,000 miles down southampton this weekend (just imported so needs sva'ing etc) and was avaialable for £2300.

To buy one already reg'd/taxed/mot'd etc you're looking at anywhere between £5-8k.

Damn that's cheaper than I thought. Hmmmm, maybe I won't buy an S14 before an Evo now, although I really want a 6.

I've never seen a yellow 5 before, I like the last shot, that's cool.

You can get 6's for about 8-9k now :)

Awesome! I toyed with buying one TBH. Running costs over the DC5 swayed me in the end.

Great cars though!

He's in the process of doing litte bits. The wheels are silver I think but the car hasn't been cleaned for two weeks so looks a little dirty

He bought this for £6500 I think last year from Brizzle!

I want him to do the wheels black, would look better IMO!

Yea it was the one that came up last time!

Love the yellow, prefer the original wheels though. It would have to be White for me though for that truley original jap look. Been looking the good ones are around 6-7k yellow ones at the top end of the money.

IMO, £12k for a TME is a bit pricey. More like £10.5k.

They need a oil service every 6000 miles but other than that, its just normal servicing.

I really do think that the mid-era Evos (4 through to 6) are simply getting better with age in appearance. In a world where headlights are increasingly being wrapped up and around the front of the car - so much so that they aren't far from the A-pillar; that the word 'boot spoiler' refers to a 1" plastic lip and bonnet vents are considered 'chav' - these Evos are such a refereshing look.

They are angular, boxy and far from aerodynamic. But every surface is tweaked and made to perform a function - regardless of the end look in terms of aesthetics. Whereas late 90's designers could focus on getting cold air to the I/C and brakes, while venting hot air from the top - today's designers are hand-tied with NCAP stuff - on the billion-to-one event that Doris mounts your bonnet after stepping out from a bus stop. :(

I could go and buy a mint evo 5 or 6 tomorrow, and i would love too, but atm 2k on insurance just ain't worth it.
I do like that yellow one, i prefer white though:)

It was bought from Bristol this time last year, It has only done 60k I think, not a lot for an old car anyway. I know it was an Import from new

Yeah oil change is every 4k on diffs aswell. Not the end of the world if ya know a mechanic. I really fancy 1, will hang on to Xmas though and try grab a bargain evo 6. Seems like alot of other people on here are in the same mind.
