3/4 Front plate

  Clio 172
Mine came today and it's going on tomorrow along with some anthracite 182 wheels that i bought this week. I was just wondering does anyone get much interest from the police with these plates?

Agreed i dont see the big fuss

From what i've read on here they do bring a lot of attention from the popo and usually get fines / points or generally told to remove it..

Just carry a family size tub of vaseline in the glove box and im sure you'll be fine

my mate used to have one on his until he had some nonse clip his front end and ripped it off, prior to his ownership the previous owner had it on for well over 2 years.
My girlfriend has had her's on for about a year now and i've also got one.

Now either the police are lazy around my neck of the woods or they aren't fussed about them in general.

tbh you might as well have one but just keep your full size in the boot if they ever pull you, just say you've been to a 'Meet' and totally forgot to remove it "very sorry officer" lol

Use velcro and have a normal sized plate in the boot with the same sex ends attached IMO, cleans the plate up and is easily removed and changed.

I just went outside and checked mine. It should cover the holes from what i can see. Don't know where the holes are exactly but i think it should cover them

I've just got one delivered today too ... however by using Velcro, surely it's easy to rip off / steal?

I think people are getting confused between the 3/4 plates and the 1/2 size plates:

I got pulled so much for the 1/2 plate so took it off as it wasnt worth the hassle, touch wood the 3/4 has been fine. Will try it through the MOT as but will have to see :)

It will fail mate. Bosh the old one back on for the MOT, your plates on velcro?

  Trophy #490
Just been fined £60 for mine! :dapprove:
Had a 3/4 on the Trophy for about 18 months without any attention really, put one on the R26 last week and have been done for it already! What's the score with driving about with the number plate in the windscreen by the way? Seen a few people on here who do it, 'Keano' I think is one of them? I saw an EK9 driving without a plate about five seconds before the police pulled me for my 3/4 earlier, is it still illegal to do it or?
